When it comes to losing weight and getting in shape, it’s really not that difficult to do. I’m not saying that it’s easy, but it sure is simple. The problem is that most people are too busy looking for the magic pill that doesn’t exist. I know that you would like to eat whatever you want and how much of it you want, exercise little to none, and look like a fitness model.

C’mon now, guys and gals, it’s not going to happen. Quit wasting your time and just start doing what works, and do it consistently.

What works? It’s simple, eat less and exercise more. I’m not trying to be funny, I’m being serious. The only real and proven way to lose weight and keep it off is to either eat less or exercise more. Preferably eat less because in my opinion your diet is more important than exercising.

Just look at all of the overweight people in the local gyms. You may think that everybody is supermodel fit in all of the gyms out there, think again! There are a small percentage of incredibly fit people, and the majority of people are still out of shape. Is it possible that all of these people just started and in a year or so, they will be in great shape? It’s possible, but I bet if you go back in a year and check everybody out, you will see the majority of the people are still overweight.

Why? It’s because the majority of the people in gyms are the same as everyone else. They eat too much, exercise wrong, and stay stuck in this rut year after year, or they quit. I have been working out in different gyms for over 25 years, I see it all the time. It is sad because all of these people are there because they want to get in shape, they truly want to have the body of their dreams. The problem is that there is so much misinformation out there, plus the media and magazines paint an unrealistic picture of what we are supposed to look like, especially women.

So, what’s the answer? The answer is to exercise properly and find a way to eat less on a consistent basis. This is not that difficult to do as long as you don’t get sucked in to the hype from every scam artist out there trying to sell you a bunch of stuff that just will not work!

When I decided to start this blog, I made a vow that I will only tell you things that I know to be true and that I either do now or have done in the past. I will go over many different ways to train and how to limit your calories consistently in future posts. Be sure to get my free ebook at the top of  the page and read through it. It’s short, but is has a lot of useful information and it will give you a taste of my philosophy on weight loss and fitness.

Stick with me and I will show you the real way to lose weight and keep the muscle. Stay tuned.
